JUNE BAHTRA - MAGIC OF PHANG NGA BAY

Phang Nga Bay’s spectacular limestone scenery has captured the hearts of movie makers, writers and romantics for decades. Scores of beautiful islands rise up from the Andaman Sea, their tree-clad cliffs casting a rainbow of contrast to the bay’s sparkling Perrier-bottle hue.


There is no finer way to experience this remarkable scene than from the deck of the June Bahtra, a traditional junk-rigged schooner. Recline on comfortable cushions below the boat’s striking red sails as the views of the archipelago from Phuket to Phang Nga unfold before you.

As the boat glides gracefully across the water, a spectacle of islands towering above the sea offers a striking display of green and mottled limestone colour. Later, you’ll stop at a deserted white sand beach for a secluded swim in the refreshing clear waters.

You’ll take a ride on a long tail boat to visit caves and mangroves, the entire area alive with birdsong and monkey chatter. At James Bond Island, enjoy views of the iconic rock formation rising out of the bay.

Back onboard, enjoy a delicious buffet lunch, including freshly caught fish and seafood. After a secluded swim, just sit back and savour this coastal scenery a bit longer – and the romance of the open sea on board this unique sailing vessel.


IN PHUKET

MAGICAL PHANG NGA BAY CRUISE (Daily)

07:30 Hotel pick-up, transfer by air-conditioned mini-bus. Late morning, arrive at James Bond Island, then cruise to Sea Gypsy Caves and Grotto Caves through the mangrove delta by long tail boat.

13:00 A delicious buffet lunch, then an afternoon free to relax, sunbathe and swim. Sail back to Phuket, transferred to your hotel.

SUNSET AND DINNER CRUISE

Depart in the late afternoon and arrive at Phang Nga Bay in time for a spectacular sunset. A sumptuous buffet meal is served as you cruise back.
 

JUNE BAHTRA BOATS

These beautiful boats are completely authentic junks, combining Malay and Dutch influences, recalling a bygone age of pirates and smugglers. Our fleet comprises of three fully equipped and insured vessels with a total capacity of 80, or 20, 20 and 40 respectively. Each boat features:

- Modern safety equipment and lifejackets
- A comfortable sun deck with mattresses
- Sun canopy covering three quarters of the deck
- Immaculately clean western style toilets
- Fully-stocked bar


ACCESS

Guests are picked up either from the airport or hotels in Phuket and shuttled to the June Bahtra by private vehicle. Upon return to Phuket guests are shuttled by private vehicle to the destination of their choice.
